The HAW-ForschungsSchub funding scheme supports universities of applied sciences (UAS) in systematically developing their promising research findings and taking them to the next level of innovation. The scheme is open to all disciplines and subject combinations. Projects relating to the key technologies of the High-Tech Agenda Germany (HTAD) are prioritised.
The new HAW-ForschungsSchub funding guideline focuses on further developing methods, techniques and processes to advance research findings to the next stage of innovation. Priority is given to projects relating to the key technologies and ‘strategic research fields’ of the High-Tech Agenda for Germany (HTAD) and their transfer into society, though the scope is not limited exclusively to these areas. Funding will enable universities of applied sciences (UAS) to explore further research questions, realise commercialisation potential and develop products or services based on the results. At the same time, the funding aims to establish sustainable network structures that will contribute to the long-term development of research results into marketable products or services. UAS are to be established as reliable research partners for regional Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and other regional institutions. The overall objective of the measure is to enhance the innovation potential of research at universities of applied sciences systematically.
Universities can receive up to 200,000 euros for each project they are selected for. Projects can last up to two years. It is essential that at least one associated partner is involved, particularly companies and organisations that will be able to make use of the results in future.

Participants can expect a presentation covering the key facts and guidance regarding the new HAW-ForschungsSchub funding initiative.
