Munich University of Applied Sciences, Fraunhofer CeRRI and TU Berlin are supporting researchers and SMEs with the free ‘Ready-to-Transfer Box’ : Date:

Research only unfolds its full impact and innovation potential when knowledge finds its way into society and the economy. This is how technological, ecological, and social innovations emerge that drive both industry and society forward. Achieving this requires strategic instruments and methods of knowledge and technology transfer. These are precisely what Munich University of Applied Sciences, TU Berlin, and Fraunhofer CeRRI provide freely online with the ‘Ready-to-Transfer Box’

The ‘Ready-to-Transfer Box’ is a practical set of tools and methods with the clear aim of “translating theory into practice and turning an obligation into an opportunity”. It provides support for impact narratives for research projects and securing funding, as well as agile methods for knowledge and technology transfer for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), right through to practical guides: The ‘Ready-to-Transfer Box’ supports trainers working in the field of knowledge transfer and stakeholders from SMEs, universities, academic continuing education institutions, transfer networks and professional bodies, with seven tried-and-tested training modules. After all, there is often more than just a good idea standing between an excellent insight and a genuine innovation. Above all, what is needed is the ability to translate knowledge into practical application – ideally into everyday practice. This is best achieved when universities, researchers and industry partners collaborate as an innovation ecosystem, supported by the necessary methods, formats and skills. The ‘Ready-to-Transfer Box’ offers practical guidance to support the transfer process in a structured, application-oriented and accessible manner. All methods, formats and guidelines are freely available and can be modified and adapted as required.

Collaborative project: Fostering transfer skills

The ‘Ready-to-Transfer Box’ was developed as part of the project ‘Fostering transfer skills – sub-project: Training in transfer practices within application-oriented research processes’ at Munich University of Applied Sciences, in collaboration with the Fraunhofer Centre for Responsible Research and Innovation (CeRRI), and the Technical University of Berlin, funded by the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR).
